FestoonPro® Accessories

Everything you need to power, extend and finish a FestoonPro display. FestoonPro is our commercial 240V festoon system, where you choose a belt, add your own replaceable E27 or B22 bulbs, and connect belts together up to around 1,000 metres from one plug. These accessories are the parts that make it work: the starter cables that power it, the dimmers that control it, and the connectors that shape it around any space.

What FestoonPro accessories do I need to get started?

A FestoonPro display comes together from three parts. First, your FestoonPro festoon belts, in black or white, in the length you need. Second, the festoon bulbs to fit them, bought separately because they are fully replaceable, in your choice of E27 screw or B22 bayonet fitting. Third, a FestoonPro starter cable to power the run from a standard socket. Everything then screws and clicks together, and extension leads and connectors let you take the display wherever you want it.

Which FestoonPro starter cable should I choose?

The starter cable is the heart of the display, plugging into a household socket and feeding mains power to the first belt through a heavy-duty 2 metre rubber lead with a quality fuse. You need one per powered run, and there are two to choose from, both in black or white.

• Standard starter cable: The essential 2m black or white starter cable that powers your festoon belts from a standard plug.
• Dimmer starter cable: The 2m starter cable with LED dimmer and remote, which powers the display and lets you set the brightness from a handset when using dimmable bulbs.

Connectors, extensions and finishing parts

Once the power is sorted, the connectors are what turn a single belt into a full installation, letting you extend, branch and tidy your display.

• Extension leads (5m and 10m): Bridge the gap between the plug and the first belt, or between belts. Available in black and white, and joinable for extra length.
• Y-cord connector: The Y-cord splits one input into two, sending belts in two directions from a single point.
• Ring connector: The ring connector joins belts into a loop, ideal for lighting evenly around a marquee, gazebo or courtyard.
• E27 festoon stopper: The festoon stopper seals any unused socket on a belt, keeping it weatherproof where you do not want a bulb.
• Pendant drop: The 0.5m E27 pendant hangs a single bulb down from a belt to light a table, doorway or feature.
• 16A commando socket: The 2m 16A commando socket is a heavy-duty power connection for the largest commercial displays.

How do I plan and power a large festoon display?

FestoonPro scales impressively, up to around 1,000 metres of belt from a single plug, but the real limit is total wattage rather than length, because you choose your own bulbs. Add up the wattage of every bulb across your run and keep it within the starter cable's limit, starting a second powered run if you go beyond it. For long spans between posts, thread the belts along a catenary support wire to take the strain, and keep the starter cable and connections dry.
