Giant Christmas Trees for Shopping Centres, Hotels and Offices

A big tree is the moment visitors remember. Set one in a shopping centre atrium, a hotel lobby or an office reception and it becomes the backdrop for photos, events and Christmas parties. Outside, a giant one on a forecourt, retail park or town square draws people in from the street and anchors the rest of your display.

Choose Your Tree

The range covers four styles, each rated for outdoor use:

  • 4m and 5m giant trees: realistic forest green designs with 4,084 and 5,950 moulded tips on stainless steel frames, rated IP65 and supplied unlit so you can light and dress them your way.
  • 5m LED branch trees: steel frames with 22 large branches wrapped in 1,720 ConnectPro® LEDs, in a static or flashing warm white version.
  • 2.7m ColourConnect® LED tree: a steel design with 880 colour-changing LEDs and a remote control with 12 colours and 4, 6 or 8-hour timers.
  • Cone trees from 4m to 10m: pre-lit and unlit designs, found in our commercial cone trees collection.

The larger designs are delivered by pallet, and the 5m designs may need an installation team to put up.

Lighting an Unlit Tree

The 4m and 5m giant trees arrive unlit, so the look is yours to choose. Wrap them in ConnectPro® connectable lights, where one starter cable powers up to 7,600 LEDs and the rubber cable is rated IP65 for outdoor use. Work from the inside out, wrapping each tier of branches, so it glows from within rather than just on the surface.

Build a Complete Christmas Scheme

Surround your tree with commercial wreaths and garlands on entrances and railings, line the approach with lamp post motifs, and buy everything on one order with a trade account for business pricing.

Commercial Christmas Trees FAQs

How many lights do I need for a large Christmas tree?

As a guide, a 10ft (3m) tree needs about 60m of lights and a 20ft (6m) one about 180m. That puts our 4m giant tree at roughly 100m and the 5m at around 140m for good coverage. Our guide to lighting a large commercial tree covers sizes up to 40ft.

What size Christmas tree do I need for a hotel lobby or shopping centre?

Measure the ceiling and leave at least 15cm between it and the top of the tree, including any topper. Check the width too: our 4m giant tree is just over 2m wide and the 5m about 2.5m, so make sure there is room to walk around it. Full, wide shapes suit open lobbies and atriums, while slimmer designs work better in corners.

What types of commercial Christmas tree are there?

The main types are traditional designs with moulded branch tips, LED branch trees covered in lights, light-up LED designs on a steel frame, and cone trees built on a cone-shaped frame. Specialist suppliers also make panel and tower trees for very tall displays. Our range covers the first four, from 2.7m to 10m.

Are artificial Christmas trees safe for commercial premises?

Yes, as long as the tree is covered by your fire risk assessment. Artificial trees are generally considered safer than real ones, but keep yours clear of escape routes, sprinklers and heat sources such as radiators, secure it so it cannot tip, and use LED lights. Check the flame-retardant certification of any tree before you buy.

What size baubles should I use on a large Christmas tree?

Go big. On a tree of 4m or more, use large baubles of 10cm to 30cm, and the largest outdoor displays can take baubles of 50cm or more. Hang the largest first, in groups of three or five at different heights, then fill in with smaller ones for depth.
